My introduction to the world of music began during my childhood, where I took my first tentative steps into this enchanting realm. Surrounded by a family of music enthusiasts, including my mother, sister, and aunts, I found myself immersed in a musical environment that has continued to inspire me to this day. The initial spark of interest blossomed into a passionate flame when I delved into the art of playing the guitar, a pursuit that truly took flight following my completion of the +2 exam.

At the outset of my journey, I encountered numerous obstacles and faced harsh criticisms as I delved into the realm of mastering this art form. Many viewed my dedication as frivolous and unproductive. Despite the discouragement, I remained steadfast in my pursuit, determined to nurture the flame of passion within me. Devoid of encouragement or assistance, I traversed the path alone, forging ahead with unwavering resolve.

In due course, I ventured into the realm of teaching guitar, sharing my knowledge and skills with eager learners. In 2008, I became a member of the renowned Bengali band NH34, and played on numerous gigs with Mithun da, Benu da, Satyajit, Debasish & Bapi da and others. This was a move that swiftly garnered acclaim and admiration from the younger generation. Additionally, I had the privilege of performing alongside the talented musicians of the Swapner Feriwala and some other bands, further enriching my musical journey.

Reflecting on my humble beginnings, my initial guitar, a Concord F-hole acoustic, proved to be less than ideal. Recognizing the limitations of my instrument, I made the decision to part ways with it and invest in a superior acoustic guitar. Through a series of such transactions, I diligently saved and upgraded my collection of guitars, striving for excellence in my craft.

In 2013, I embraced a new role as an assistant teacher at Bethel English Medium School, where I continued to share my passion for music and inspire the next generation of learners.

In the midst of this musical renaissance, a wave of fresh talent emerged as young stars banded together to form new musical groups such as Sanko, The Rock Realm, and Nandan Fusion, among others. With no prior efforts to cultivate a vibrant band culture in our community, the arrival of these budding bands brings a sense of anticipation and excitement. 

Embarking on my own musical journey, I eagerly joined The Rock Realm (TRR) in 2024, where I was warmly welcomed by Subhra. This new chapter marks the beginning of what I hope will be a lasting and impactful experience.

As I delved into songwriting, I found myself collaborating with fellow musicians who shared the vision of establishing a thriving music scene in our locality. Together, we are currently in the process of arranging our songs, with plans to record them and create music videos in the near future.

In just a few short years, a noticeable shift has occurred in the community, with people embracing the burgeoning band culture with newfound enthusiasm. The transformation of the musical landscape has been nothing short of remarkable, and the future looks promising.

On the memorable date of September 6, 2012, I embarked on a creative journey by single-handedly crafting my very own website, a digital haven bearing the name www.rajibmandal.com. This virtual space is dedicated to showcasing my musical endeavors, a platform where I aim to not only share my own musical creations but also collaborate with fellow musicians, fostering a community of growth and harmony within the realm of music.

From the inception of this website, I have delved into various aspects of music production with unwavering passion and dedication. I have taken on the roles of composer, audio and video producer, arranger, mixer, and editor, honing my skills in each domain to create a rich tapestry of musical content.
